![]() There's no point putting all your magic character's stats into strength, obviously. Whatever character you pick in Diablo 2, it's important to spend your points wisely as you earn them. Magically they can use fire and wind spells, transform into animals (like a bear) to fight, and summon all sorts of plants and creatures to fight for them. In NM act 4 you'll start seeing fire immune mobs, so that's when you respec into tornado/hurricane, you'll probably be much better at the game by then, but feel free to ask if you have questions. The Diablo 2 Druid class is a good one if you want a jack-of-all-trades as they can take a beating like the Barbarian, put out damage like a Sorceress, and summon companions like a Necromancer. The barbarian is a bit more tricky to play, especially later on, because he's very dependent on a weapon with good damage you don't necessarily get reliably, while the druid is mostly dependent on +skills which he gets plenty from the Leaf runeword. Fissure is a mighty aoe spell that will easily oneshot entire groups, topping off your mana every time you use it against multiple enemies. Fissure is what you will use to beat the game on normal.Ĭreate a "leaf" runeword later (A Tir and a Ral rune in that order socketed into a two-hand staff with exactly two sockets, you can buy these at drognan in act 2 or even akara in act 1) and potentially a helmet with two more Tir runes - This will give you +6 mana after each kill. Put any skills you have into firestorm until level 12 then into fissure. Today, I'd say the easiest character to start the game is an elemental druid. ![]() I made a firewall sorc back then and killed diablo for the first time around level 26 I think (That was before LoD even was out). I remember back in 2000/2001 I had to start over in act 3 because there were no respecs and my barb just was not useable anymore. It might take you a bit longer, but running the same stuff again and again is basically the game anyway later on. ![]() Level 12 is easily doable in an hour for experienced players, you'll be fine. ![]()
